Job summary

Beacon Health System's Memorial Hospital in South Bend, IN seeks an Education Coordinator for the Ground Transportation department. You will report to the Director and lead orientation, continuing education, and in‑service programs for transport staff, ensuring competency‑based training and regulatory compliance.

The role involves designing and delivering training materials, tracking credentials, and coordinating certification courses (AHA, PHTLS, AMLS).

Qualifications

Typically required paramedic credentials and active licensure in Indiana/Michigan.
RN licensure in Indiana with related nursing experience preferred.
CPR instructor certification and teaching credentials required within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

Coordinate orientation, continuing education, and in‑service programs for Transport staff.
Develop and update competency-based training materials and lesson plans.
Provide classroom and hands-on instruction to clinical and non‑clinical staff.
Monitor staff progress, coach, and provide performance feedback.
Maintain training records, schedules, and credentialing documentation.
Organize certification courses (AHA, PHTLS, AMLS) and track renewals.
Collaborate with leaders to identify learning opportunities and improve outcomes.
