Job summary

TileBio is building a foundation model of pathology. We are hiring a Business Development Lead to drive US market efforts, working with founders to identify who needs our platform and how they buy.

You will run conversations, build the pipeline, set up tools and processes, and take ownership as our commercial team grows.

This is an early-career, hands-on role with rapid learning and real ownership in a fast-moving startup.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years in BD, sales, or customer-facing roles in life sciences.
• Life sciences degree or equivalent experience.
• Ability to reach out and have credible conversations with scientists.
• Strong organization and pipeline discipline; follow-through is essential.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Run market discovery: research target organisations and conduct customer interviews with translational science, biomarker and digital pathology teams to understand problems, workflows and buying processes.
• Translate learnings into ideal customer profiles and use cases; help sharpen our positioning and messaging.
• Build and manage the sales pipeline: target account lists, outbound outreach, CRM hygiene, and pipeline reporting.
• Book and prepare first meetings; move opportunities through scoping, pilots and proposals.
• Support US marketing presence: conferences, events, LinkedIn, content and webinars.
• Share market feedback with product and science teams to shape development.
