Job description

We're partnering with an innovative laboratory automation company developing next-generation robotics, liquid handling and AI-enabled laboratory solutions for life science research, biotech and pharmaceutical customers.

Following early success in North America, we're looking for a commercially driven Business Development Manager to accelerate growth across the US market.

This is a unique opportunity to join at an early stage, working directly with the CEO to build market presence, win strategic customers, develop partnership networks, and help shape the company's long-term US growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive new business development across biotechnology, pharma, CRO, diagnostics and research markets.
  • Sell both standardized automation platforms and larger integrated automation solutions.
  • Develop strategic OEM and partnership relationships with instrument manufacturers, integrators and reagent providers.
  • Build and execute a US territory growth strategy.
  • Generate market intelligence and commercial insight to influence business strategy.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences and customer meetings.
What We're Looking For
  • Proven success selling laboratory automation, robotics, liquid handling, laboratory instrumentation or related technologies.
  • Strong hunter mentality with a track record of opening new accounts and building business from scratch.
  • Experience operating within entrepreneurial, high-growth environments.
  • Commercially minded, proactive and highly self-sufficient.
  • Ability to contribute strategic ideas, market insight and customer feedback—not just sales forecasts.
  • Passion for innovative technologies and the future of laboratory automation.
Why Join?
  • Direct access to senior leadership and strategic decision-making.
  • Opportunity to build and own the US market.
  • Clear progression towards a future leadership role as the business scales.
  • Innovative portfolio spanning laboratory robotics, automation and AI-driven workflows.
  • High-growth environment where successful individuals can make a significant commercial impact.

This role will suit an ambitious business developer who wants to do more than manage existing accounts, someone excited by the challenge of building a market, developing partnerships, and helping establish a rapidly growing automation company across North America.
