Job summary

Takeda seeks a senior Pathologist leader to embed AI/ML-enabled pathology and digital pathology into nonclinical workflows in Boston, MA. You will guide innovative, data-driven tissue endpoint analyses and integrate pathology insights into program decisions.

With 10+ years in pharma drug development, you will lead technical reviews, coordinate IHC/ISH efforts, and ensure robust governance of data quality and model performance across studies.

Qualifications

• DVM (or equivalent) and Ph.D. Board certified by a veterinary pathology board.
• 10+ years pharma drug development experience with project leadership and due diligence.
• Experience with digital pathology platforms and quantitative image analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead pathology contributions to target validation and mechanism-of-action understanding.
• Provide scientific direction for IHC/ISH and spatial endpoints in collaboration with labs.
• Author/regulatory review for technical accuracy of toxicology/pathology documents.
• Represent Takeda in relevant scientific meetings and cross-functional teams.
