Qualifications

• ASCP certified Pathologists' Assistant is required.
• 3+ years of grossing experience, preferably in a high-volume lab.
• Leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operations of the assigned shift team.
• Manages staffing, scheduling, timecards and performance reviews.
• Mentors, trains and coaches staff, and conducts competency assessments.
• Ensures productivity and maintains work quality.
• Collaborates with departments to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Supports CAP compliance and quality control initiatives.
• Documents new methods and procedure changes in the Grossing Department.
• Keeps current with medical trends and shares insights with leadership.
