Job summary

Petco is hiring a Pet Stylist to provide professional grooming services for dogs and cats. You will bathe, dry, brush, cut and style fur while prioritizing pet safety and client satisfaction.

The role requires adherence to grooming standards, strong customer service, and the ability to work with teams in a fast-paced store setting. Successful candidates have grooming training or apprenticeship completion, good animal handling skills, and availability to work weekends and holidays as required.

Qualifications

• Completion of Pet Stylist Apprentice program or prior professional grooming experience.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and safety in grooming all breeds.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert-level grooming services including bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts and styling.
• Maintain clean, safe grooming area and sanitize tools per policy.
• Interact with pet parents and offer grooming recommendations and care tips.
• Train, supervise or support trainees when needed.
• Ensure safety, comfort and well-being of every animal.
