Job summary

Petco is seeking a Pet Stylist to deliver professional grooming services and care for pets in a busy salon. You will bathe, dry, brush, cut hair, trim nails and clean ears, while maintaining safety and cleanliness.

The role requires customer interaction and adherence to Petco grooming standards. You must complete the Pet Stylist Apprentice program or have equivalent grooming experience, possess strong attention to detail, and be able to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Completion of Pet Stylist Apprentice program or equivalent grooming experience.
• High school diploma or GED preferred; independent problem solving in routine situations.
• Results-driven with a passion for animals and grooming excellence.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional grooming services: bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts, nail trimming, ear and gland cleaning.
• Operate grooming tools and maintain a safe, clean salon environment.
• Ensure safety and comfort of pets, and deliver high customer satisfaction.
• Train and support entry-level trainees when needed.
