Job summary

Petco is hiring a Pet Stylist to provide expert grooming services for our customers' pets in a grooming salon setting. You will perform bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts and styling while prioritizing safety and pet well‑being.

The role includes maintaining a clean grooming area, using state‑of‑the‑art equipment, and supporting team members with grooming duties as needed. Applicants should have completed the Pet Stylist Apprentice program or have professional grooming experience.

Qualifications

• Completion of Pet Stylist Apprentice program or equivalent grooming training.
• High school diploma or GED preferred, not required.
• Experience as a professional groomer or completion of a technical grooming program.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert-level grooming services including bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts and styling.
• Ensure safety, comfort and well-being of pets during grooming sessions.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the grooming area and equipment.
• Train or supervise entry-level trainees in the absence of a Grooming Salon Leader.

Education

Successful completion of the Pet Stylist Apprentice program or equivalent grooming training
