Job summary

Petco Animal Supplies, Inc. is seeking a skilled Pet Stylist to provide professional grooming services for our customers' dogs and cats. You will bathe, dry, trim coats, trim nails and maintain a safe, clean grooming area.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of Pet Stylist Apprentice program or equivalent grooming training.
• High-school diploma preferred.
• Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional grooming services including bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts and styling, nail trimming, ear cleaning and gland cleaning.
• Operate and maintain grooming instruments (clippers, blades, shears, brushes, dryers).
• Prioritize pet safety and well-being, monitor pets for discomfort or illness and report concerns as needed.
• Assess each pet's needs based on coat type, skin condition, and temperament.
• Interact professionally with pet parents, offer grooming recommendations and resolve questions promptly.
• Educate pet parents on home grooming care and product use.
