Job summary

Petco Animal Supplies, Inc. is hiring a Pet Stylist to provide expert grooming services for dogs and cats in our grooming salon. You will bathe, dry, brush, trim coats, and perform nail trimming while prioritizing pet safety and comfort.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the Pet Stylist Apprentice program with Petco or equivalent grooming training.
• High-school diploma or GED preferred, though not required.
• Ability to judge breed standards and groom according to client instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform professional grooming services including bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts and styling, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and gland cleaning.
• Operate grooming tools such as clippers, blades, brushes, and dryers with safety.
• Prioritize pet safety, comfort, and well-being during grooming sessions.
• Interact with pet parents, provide grooming recommendations and resolve questions.
• Maintain a clean, safe grooming area and sanitize tools according to policy.
• Train or support entry-level trainees when needed.
