Job summary

Pet Supplies Plus is seeking a Groom Tech to delight pets and neighbors with grooming services, including brushing, bathing and nail care. You will begin training through Paragon School of Pet Grooming and may earn a free starter kit upon enrollment.

This role emphasizes safety, cleanliness and a welcoming shop environment. Candidates should be able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends, and pass required screenings.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Retail or pet industry experience preferred but not mandatory.
Able to move or lift up to 50 pounds.
Able to stand, bend or stoop for extended periods.
Willingness to review videos and take online tests.

Responsibilities

Delight neighbors and pets with grooming services such as brushing, bathing, and nail trimming.
Learn and demonstrate skills through the online distance program.
Ensure wellness and safety of furry patrons at all times.
Develop long-term relationships with neighbors by understanding needs and recommending products and services.
Perform routine cleaning to keep the grooming area fun and inviting.
Complete Safety Training certification and assist store team during downtime.
