Job summary

Pet Supplies Plus is seeking a Groom Tech candidate in our PAWsome grooming program. It offers free Paragon School of Pet Grooming training if pursuing a Groomer role, plus a free toolkit upon enrollment.

You’ll gain hands-on experience while engaging with neighbors and their pets in a friendly store environment. Responsibilities include grooming, safety, and learning through the online distance program; you’ll be supported by a team and can advance from within.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or other industry working with pets, but not required.
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to move or lift merchandise, equipment or pets weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, bend or stoop for extended periods of time.
• Ability to review videos and take tests online.
• Flexibility in working evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Candidates must pass a drug screening (in applicable states) and validated selection test and be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Delighting Neighbors and pets with grooming services, such as brushing, bathing, and trimming nails.
• Learning and demonstrating all the skills necessary to become a groomer through the online distance program.
• Always ensuring the wellness and safety of furry patrons.
• Developing long‑term relationships with Neighbors by understanding their needs and recommending products and services that will keep their pet healthy and happy.
• Performing routine cleaning to keep the grooming environment fun and inviting.
• Successfully completing Safety Training certification.
• Assisting store team members during grooming downtime.
