Meijer Inc. is seeking a store leadership professional to plan, direct, and supervise day-to-day operations across departments. You will mentor team members, drive customer service, and manage staffing, training, and compliance with company standards.

The role emphasizes P&L ownership, sales targets, and shrink control, while promoting a safe, friendly shopping experience for customers and colleagues alike.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2–3 years of related retail experience.
• 1 year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other store areas and customer service flow.

Responsibilities

• Staffing, selection and hiring to achieve staffing needs.
• Promotes succession planning by providing career paths, identifying development needs and supporting promotions.
• Documents and applies disciplinary actions and makes recommendations concerning discharge.
• Responsible for P&L, achieving sales and maintaining shrink for the department.
• Models exceptional, fast and friendly customer service.
• Mentors and coaches the team to exceed customer service and sales goals.
• Ensures the team is thoroughly trained in all aspects of their jobs and have completed required training.
• Spends majority of time within the store communicating with customers and team members to ensure exceptional service.
• Promotes a safe work environment and maintains reliable attendance.
