Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a store operations leader to plan, direct, and supervise day-to-day activities. You will mentor staff, drive customer service, and ensure the store runs smoothly during peak hours while upholding company standards.

The role emphasizes staffing, training, and coaching across departments to deliver exceptional service, achieve sales goals, and maintain a safe shopping environment for customers and teammates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other areas of the store such as meat, bakery, produce and deli; also customer service and product flow experience is helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate to team members with clear direction and resolve conflicts.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and supervise team members in day-to-day store operations.
• Mentor and coach team members; implement strategies to improve customer service and drive store sales.
• Maintain store appearance with focus on prime shopping hours, product presentation and company standards.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs; ensure safety and Meijer standards.
• Promote safety, Meijer Friendly Initiative and consistent attendance; perform other duties as assigned.
