Job summary

Meijer Inc. seeks a Store Lead to guide daily operations and deliver exceptional customer service at our Grandville location. You will mentor team members, coordinate tasks, and ensure a welcoming shopping experience in line with Meijer's standards.

In this role you’ll work with leadership to schedule shifts, train new hires, and uphold food safety and store policies while driving sales and profitability through strong teamwork and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused approach with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in retail or customer service environments preferred.
• Ability to lead, coach, and influence a team to meet goals.

Responsibilities

• Engage customers to provide an outstanding shopping experience at checkout and beyond.
• Communicate with team members and assign daily tasks.
• Mentor and coach staff to exceed sales and service goals and complete trainings.
• Support training of new team members and cross-training of high-potential talent.
• Collaborate with leadership on scheduling to boost engagement and store performance.
• Ensure product freshness through rotation and dating policy compliance.
• Guide compliance with food safety standards and safe work practices.
• Lead efforts in ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing, and display where applicable.
• Foster Meijer culture, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Operate a register and handle cash when needed; operate powered equipment if applicable.
• Participate in period-end inventories to meet goals; may lead other departments when required.
