Meijer Great Lakes is seeking a store team member to help deliver an exceptional shopping experience. You will engage customers, assist with daily tasks, and contribute to sales goals while upholding Meijer standards and training requirements.

The role involves mentoring teammates, participating in scheduling, ensuring product freshness, and maintaining food safety and safety practices across the department.

Qualifications

• Passion for customer service and engaging customers and peers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Retail or other customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engage peers to provide the best shopping experience, including checkout.
• Communicate with team members and assign daily tasks.
• Mentor teammates to meet service and sales goals and complete trainings.
• Train and cross-train new staff, coaching on duties to boost productivity.
• Assist leadership with department scheduling to boost engagement and sales.
• Ensure product freshness by monitoring rotation and dating.
• Guide team on food safety compliance and safe operations.
• Lead ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing and display.
• Foster Meijer culture, valuing DEI.
• Operate register and handle cash as needed.
• Operate powered equipment where applicable.
• Participate in period-end inventories.
• May serve as lead in other departments.
