Job summary

Bunzl Distribution is seeking an outside Sales Representative for the Grocery organization to cover the California geography. This field-based role focuses on account management and new business development in a B2B environment, with responsibilities including prospecting, relationship building, and delivering sales growth.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of sales experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2+ years of inside/outside sales experience.
• Experience in markets like food/meat processing, industrial supplies or related distribution is preferred.
• Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience with CRM tools such as MS Dynamics is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and expand existing customer relationships by delivering exceptional service and driving account growth.
• Increase sales through prospecting and building business with new accounts.
• Meet or exceed sales and margin KPIs.
• Provide excellent customer service and build long-term relationships.
• Promote Bunzl products and drive sales of in-house and preferred brands.
• Implement pricing strategies within accounts.
• Plan and schedule customer visits with clear objectives.
• Forecast sales and communicate priorities to leadership.
• Develop knowledge of Bunzl products and benefits for demonstrations.
• Establish and grow new accounts.
