99 Ranch Market in Fairfax, VA is seeking a Store Management Trainee to learn department SOPs, product knowledge, and store operations while supporting daily leadership tasks.

You will assist with promotional planning, display maintenance, inventory control, and staff scheduling during a 6–8 month training period before placement in a store role. Position requires flexible schedule and travel between stores.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of related experience, including 1 year in supervision.
• Able to lift 25+ lbs and stand long periods.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays; willing to relocate if needed.
• Travel between stores for training.
• Read/interprete procedures and training materials.
• Strong interpersonal skills for sensitive situations.
• Familiar with SAP, Microsoft Office and inventory systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee department SOPs and product knowledge during training.
• Manage daily department operations and meet company standards.
• Collaborate with store management on promotion plans and sales targets.
• Maintain product display, ensure freshness, and keep shelves stocked.
• Order products based on on-hand inventory and promotions.
• Receive poultry shipments and inspect quantity/quality.
• Control inventory movement (FIFO) and conduct cycles.
• Coordinate with local vendors and adapt to local products.
• Use labeling and price-sign printing tools efficiently.
• Provide schedules to staff and monitor attendance.
• Support Human Capital Management through coaching and training.
• Maintain a safe and clean workplace.
• Perform other duties as needed.
