99 Ranch Market is seeking a Store Manager Trainee in San Jose, CA. The program offers structured leadership development with rotations across stores, HQ, CPU, and DC, plus ongoing coaching and training to prepare you for store management.

You will gain hands-on operational experience, work with a mentorship team, and advance into a department manager role with clear leadership pathways. Training emphasizes culture, values, and performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or related fields.
• Ability to operate in varying store temperatures and use equipment.
• Able to lift 25+ lbs and stand long hours.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays; travel between stores.

Responsibilities

• Undergo 6 to 8 months of training with evaluations.
• After training, be assigned to a store to oversee a department SOP, product knowledge, planning, ordering, and staff management.
• Collaborate with store management to design promotions and hit sales targets.
• Maintain product displays, ensure freshness, and keep shelves stocked.
• Manage inventory, FIFO rotations, and physical counts.
• Develop proficiency with local vendors and popular products.
• Use labeling and price sign systems efficiently.
• Schedule department staff and manage attendance.
• Contribute to human capital management, coaching and performance reviews.
