Job summary

The Kroger Co. in Chesapeake, VA is seeking a Department Manager for the Grocery Department.

You will assist the Department Manager in planning, organizing, staffing, training and directing associates to ensure customers receive prompt, courteous service while maximizing store sales and profits in a safe, ethical manner. You will lead daily operations, coordinate scheduling, training, merchandising and promotions, and ensure accuracy in ordering using CAO.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to manage people and workloads.

Responsibilities

• Assist Dept Manager in planning, organizing and staffing the Grocery Dept.

• Price, display and rotate merchandise with clear signage and quality standards.
• Lead merchandising and promotional activities.
