Kroger Family of Companies is seeking an Assistant Department Manager for the Grocery Department to plan, organize, staff, train and direct associates. You will assist in production and customer service, maximize store sales safely and ethically, and uphold core values of respect, integrity and safety.

Responsibilities include staffing, scheduling, CAO ordering, pricing, display and signage, and ensuring compliance with policies.

Qualificações

• Clear written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to make quick, informed decisions under pressure.
• Capable of maintaining a calm, professional demeanor with customers and staff.
• Experience with production, merchandising and customer service in retail.
• Knowledge of department operations incl. staffing, merchandising, inventory, labor and expense control.
• Familiarity with applicable employment laws and OSHA regulations.
• Ability to operate power tools and equipment used in department maintenance.

Responsabilidades

• Assist the Department Manager in organizing work and staffing the department.
• Train and schedule associates to ensure prompt, courteous service.
• Respond to customer and associate inquiries with tact and professionalism.
• Use CAO to order appropriate quantities and manage supplies.
• Ensure accurate pricing, signage, rotation, quality and space allocation.
• Promote merchandising techniques and company initiatives.
• Support adherence to dress code, sanitation and harassment policies.
• Provide input on budgets, goals and results for the department.
• Maintain equipment and department areas in safe, clean condition.
