Job summary

You will oversee staffing, training, scheduling, pricing, merchandising, and use CAO for ordering, while promoting safety and efficiency and supporting store goals.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist the Department Manager in organizing work, staffing and training associates.
• Respond to customer or associate comments, complaints, requests and questions professionally.
• Use CAO to manage ordering and balance on hand in the Department Manager's absence.
• Price and display merchandise; maintain signage, rotation, freshness and space.
• Mentor associates in merchandising, customer service and promotions.
• Follow company programs and policies, including dress code and sanitation.
• Provide input on department budgets, goals and results.
• Communicate with associates and customers to create a positive impression.
• Maintain equipment, facilities and grocery areas to sanitary standards.
• Promote company initiatives and process improvements to direct reports.
• Demonstrate ability to manage people and workloads.
• Perform any duties as assigned.
