Job summary

Harris Teeter is seeking an Assistant Grocery Manager in Fairfax, Virginia. This role supports the Grocery Department leadership, supervising up to 25 associates and coordinating tasks to ensure smooth store operations.

The position may also oversee the HBC/GM Department, contributing to performance evaluations and policy adherence. Responsibilities include interviewing and training associates, directing work, and addressing issues with a focus on customer service and legal compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Commitment to unparalleled customer service and strong communication.
• Willingness to complete required training and work with the team to increase customer satisfaction and sales.
• Completion of Harris Teeter training including but not limited to new hire orientation, food sanitation, customer service network, safety, food safety, and product knowledge
