Food Lion in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Grocery Department Manager to lead the department, hire and train staff, and drive store performance. You will manage labor, coach associates, ensure food safety and customer service excellence, and collaborate with store leadership to meet budgeted goals.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Good understanding of store operations preferred.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to lead and direct others.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position with or without accommodations.
• Must be accredited by the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals or similar; or complete company training within 90 days.

Responsabilités

• Manage the Grocery Department, including hiring, training and developing department associates.
• Supervise the performance of all duties and responsibilities of department associates with ongoing performance management and training.
• Daily management of labor and coaching to meet productivity expectations.
• Provide leadership and motivate store team in line with Guiding Principles and values.
• Support achievement of budgeted financial and operating results.
• Maintain enthusiastic customer service and a positive shopping experience.
• Role model outstanding customer service and use product knowledge to meet customers' needs.
• Control store expenses through ordering, care for supplies and equipment.
• Use company tools such as financial reports, ACIS, scheduling, CAO, and business systems.
• Ensure department appearance, quality, variety, safety and sanitation.
• Ensure schedules provide extraordinary customer service.
• Understand scheduling, sales, projections, wage percent, interviewing, training and management of Grocery Department.
• Ensure ordering, receiving, preparation and displaying of merchandise follow policies.
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions; report accidents per procedures.
• Monitor shrink and coach associates to prevent losses.
• Assist with bi-annual physical inventory.
• Ensure promotions and signage are utilized; comply with regulations.
• Adhere to company guidelines and security standards.
• Complete CBT, training packets and courses; recognize achievements and provide coaching as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
