Food Lion in Mint Hill, NC is seeking a Grocery Department Manager to lead store operations, hire and train associates, and drive sales toward budgeted goals. You will foster strong associate and customer relations while upholding Food Lion's principles.

The role requires effective communication, hands-on leadership, scheduling, inventory control, and cost management, with a focus on safety, sanitation and providing outstanding customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to lead and direct others.
• Must meet minimum age requirements.
• Must be accredited by the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals or similar accrediting organization as a "Certified Food Safety Manager" or must become accredited within 90 days.

• Manage the Grocery Department, including hiring, training and developing department associates.
• Supervise the performance of all duties and responsibilities of department associates and provide ongoing performance management.
• Daily management of labor and coaching to achieve productivity targets.
