Responsibilities

• Engage customers to provide the best possible shopping experience, including the checkout process.
• Communicate with team members and assign daily tasks.
• Mentor and coach teammates to exceed service and sales goals and complete required trainings.
• Support training of new team members and cross-training of high-potential talent.
• Assist with department scheduling to improve engagement, service, and profitability.
• Ensure product freshness by monitoring rotation and dating policies.
• Guide the team in food safety standards and safe work practices.
• Lead ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing and product displays as applicable.
• Create an environment that supports Meijer culture and diversity.
