Job summary

Albertson’s is seeking a Grocery Department Supervisor to assist in the operation and leadership of the Grocery Department. The role involves supervising staff, handling ordering, receiving, stocking, and merchandising, and stepping in when senior leaders are away.

You will champion customer service programs, ensure policy compliance, and help manage day-to-day activities including pricing, inventory control, and merchandising strategies.

Qualifications

• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage and develop people.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and be a team player.
• Knowledge of basic math, weights and measures.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods and lift up to 80 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist Grocery Manager and Third Person in day-to-day operations of the Grocery Department.
• Assist with supervising and training personnel, ordering, receiving, storing, pricing and stocking.
• Direct and control store operations in absence of Store Director, Grocery Manager and Third Person.
• Ensure compliance with sanitation, safety, and security policies.
