Job summary

Food City invites applications for the Designated Assistant Store Manager. An Associate who may hold another main job, designated to lead in the Store Manager's absence, and who completed the Designated Assistant Manager Training Program.

You will oversee daily grocery department operations, help manage budgets and profits, supervise staff, maintain quality, merchandising, and safety, and support the Store Manager and community presence.

Qualifications

• Three to five years experience in retail operations
• Operating as a department manager for at least one year
• Ability to meet standard Physical, Mental, and Visual demands
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service for customers through maintaining a strong grocery management team and scheduling adequately
• Promote company benefits including ESOP, 401k, insurance, etc.
• Oversee safety and security measures including theft and loss prevention
• Assist Store Manager in monitoring labor guidelines and compliance
• Maintain inventory levels and price accuracy in grocery departments
