Job summary

El Super operates a Oceanside store seeking a Grocery Clerk to deliver friendly service, stock shelves, and maintain clean displays. This role requires the ability to work nights and weekends and perform frequent heavy lifting in a fast-paced grocery environment.

The position supports 16–17-year-olds and offers opportunities to learn retail basics while contributing to community-focused service. Apply at the El Super location in Oceanside.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, courteous, and helpful service under direct supervision of the Grocery Manager.
• Assist customers, clean display cases and shelves, and rotate self-serve displays.
• Work a variety of hours including nights and weekends; perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as needed.
