Job summary

El Super is seeking a Grocery Clerk to join the Garden Grove store team. Under direct supervision, you will assist customers, maintain displays, and ensure shelves are clean and rotated. The position supports a fast-paced grocery environment and requires lifting up to 60 pounds, with hours including nights and weekends.

We welcome applicants who are at least 16 years old and eager to contribute to a community-minded store. Training and equal opportunity employment are part of our program.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, courteous, and helpful service to customers.
• Clean display cases and shelves, and rotate self-serve displays.
• Work a variety of hours including nights and weekends.
• Perform heavy lifting, bending and stooping for long periods.
• Follow store policies and safety guidelines.
