Job summary

El Super is hiring a Grocery Clerk for store #45 in Oceanside, CA. Under direct supervision, you will assist customers, restock, clean display cases and shelves, and rotate the self-serve displays. Nights and weekends availability is required.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, shelf tags, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence and effectively present information to customers and employees.
• Regularly lift and move up to 25 lbs, frequently up to 45 lbs, and occasionally up to 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

The Opportunity

Under direct supervision of the Grocery Manager, the Grocery Clerk will provide friendly, courteous, and helpful service. This position will assist customers, clean display cases, and clean shelves. They will also clean, fill and rotate the self‑serve displays. Must be able to work a variety of hours including nights and weekends. Must be able to perform heavy lifting, bending and stooping for long periods of time.
The working environment is typical for a fast‑paced grocery store, and essential functions of this job include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling as well as visual and auditory requirements.
