The Kroger Co. is seeking a Grocery Clerk to create an outstanding customer experience and maintain a safe, organized store environment in Huntington, WV. You will support department goals, engage with customers, and uphold our Customer 1st strategy while respecting core company values.

Responsibilities include assisting customers, keeping shelves stocked, ensuring product quality, and adhering to food-safety standards. Prior retail or customer service experience is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Assist customers in finding items and answering product questions.
• Inform customers of specials and recommend items to meet their needs.
• Check product quality and review sell-by dates; take action as needed.
• Provide customers with ordered grocery items, both fresh and non-perishable.
• Recommend products to ensure customers get what they want and need.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Stay current with ads and promotions (current, future, seasonal).
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers; log temperatures.
• Know products well and respond to customer questions with suggestions.
• Create a welcoming environment and assist customers across the store.
• Reinforce safety programs and notify management of unsafe conditions.
• Inspect equipment and report any needed repairs to management.
• Notify management of accidents involving customers or employees.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Manage conflict calmly and cooperatively.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues.
• Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
