Job summary

El Super #9 Pomona is accepting applications for a Checker - #9 Pomona (ages 16-17). Under direct supervision, you will provide excellent customer service, process sales quickly and accurately, and operate the cash register while safeguarding company assets.

The role requires bending, standing and light to moderate lifting in a fast-paced grocery setting. You should be able to lift up to 60 pounds, read and follow simple instructions, and present information clearly to customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels and pricing codes.
• Write simple correspondence and communicate clearly with customers and teammates.
• Present information effectively in one-on-one and small groups.
• Follow written or oral instructions and demonstrate basic common sense.
