Job summary

El Super #9 Pomona is accepting applications for a Checker - #9 Pomona (ages 16-17). Under direct supervision, you will provide excellent customer service, process sales quickly and accurately, and operate the cash register while safeguarding company assets.

The role requires bending, standing and light to moderate lifting in a fast-paced grocery setting. You should be able to lift up to 60 pounds, read and follow simple instructions, and present information clearly to customers and colleagues.

The Opportunity

Under direct supervision of the Front End Supervisor, the Checker is responsible for maintaining outstanding customer service as per company standards, processing sales quickly, accurately and efficiently, performing cash register operations and safeguarding company assets. Must be able to bend, stand and stoop for prolonged periods of time. The working environment is typical for a fast‑paced grocery store, and essential functions of this job include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling as well as visual and auditory requirements.
