Job summary

El Super #1 in South Gate, CA is seeking a Checker to join our store operations team. You will assist customers, process sales quickly and accurately, and operate the cash register in a fast-paced grocery environment.

This role is open to ages 16-17 and emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and physical stamina, including lifting up to 60 pounds as needed.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
