Position Details: Grocery Assist Manager, Full Time – Entry Level.

Directs: Stock Crew Leader, Receiver, Stockers, Dairy/Frozen.

Your role as a leader in the store will be to empower associates and solve problems through critical thinking. Additional requirements include maintaining a well-stocked, well-merchandised store.

Daily Operations

• Providing exceptional service to all clientele.
• Becoming knowledgeable in the Store Director’s and Grocery Manager’s roles to cover absences through training and updated policies.
• Assisting with grocery orders and shelving conditions.
• Removing discontinued items and adding new items.
• Assisting the pricing coordinator in pricing and signage integrity throughout the grocery department.
• Maintaining the backroom, grocery shelving, frozen, and dairy departments daily.

Employees

• Training and developing employees to ensure a qualified workforce by leading and providing tools for success.
• Scheduling department employees.
• Directing stock crew on inventory control, backroom conditions, and ordering.
• Maintaining ethical relationships with team members, vendors, and suppliers.
• Fostering a disciplined, respectful work environment through critical thinking, conflict resolution, and clear communication.

Company Standards

• Communicating with management and staying updated on company policies and training.
• Maintaining records compliant with regulations and policies.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift 60 lbs., exert force frequently, and handle materials and products. Must have dexterity, stamina, and the ability to work on slippery floors. Capable of using knives and sharp instruments safely.
