Dairy Farmers of America, Inc. at the Kemps Cedarburg plant is hiring a Gripper operator for the cooler. The role involves safely transporting milk crates, operating a gripper device, and following directions from the mounted computer to move products around the warehouse.

The position offers 2nd shift with a 4pm start, 10-12 hour shifts, rotating schedule, Monday-Saturday, with some Sunday work. Starting pay is $27.71 per hour, rising to $30.75 after one year, plus comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
• Effective verbal and written communications skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must pass pre-employment screenings including drug, background and criminal checks.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and move cases up to 6-8 high.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport milk to various areas of the warehouse following computer guidance.
• Operate a gripper device similar to a forklift and position loads accurately.
• Work in a cold, wet environment with temperatures of 35–40°F.
• Support overtime, weekends and holiday scheduling as needed.
