Job summary

Garelick Farms, Dairy Farmers of America in Franklin, MA is hiring a Forklift Operator - Cooler 3rd Shift. This role operates powered industrial trucks to load, unload, and move products in a warehouse and cooler, with shift 11:00 pm to 7:30 am and Wednesdays and Saturdays off.

Pay is $20 per hour with $1.50 shift differential. Benefits include a $1,500 sign-on bonus for external candidates and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Warehouse, production, or general work experience preferred.
• Certification and/or License – may be required during course of employment.

Responsibilities

• Execute the loading and unloading of products in trailers.
• Distribute pallets of product from the palletizer to distribution trailers and staging areas.
• Stage materials for production.
• Move product and materials within facility (plant and/or cooler).
• Receive materials for warehouse storage.
• Supply packaging material, cartons, and hulls to line as needed.
• Maintain pallet supply for palletizer.
• Rotate packaging and ingredients using FIFO (First In – First Out).
• Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible, and accurate format, and completed with required information.
• Ensure all required information is documented in accordance with SOPs.
• Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
• Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately.
• Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues.
• Follow all DFA GMPs and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.
