Job summary

Sonny’s BBQ is seeking a Back-of-House team member to support a fast-paced kitchen. You will cook, manage grill duties, and follow Sonny’s specialized terminology and procedures. The role requires maintaining hygiene, reading orders, and working with knives and slicers.

Qualifications

• Related experience and/or training in the restaurant industry.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
• Ability to push, pull, lift, carry and move up to 90 pounds.
• Work in wet/humid conditions and handle cleaning chemicals; frequent hand washing.

Responsibilities

• Ability to cook.
• Memorize and apply Sonny’s BOH terminology, plating, items, procedures, utensils and methodologies.
• Navigate around equipment and manage grill.
• Operate fry equipment and bread grill.
• Read orders and follow KDS protocols.
• Maintain a clean workstation and follow sanitary guidelines.
• Perform cleaning duties throughout and at shift end.
• Use a meat slicer and sharp knives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
