Mason Street Grill at Pfister in downtown Milwaukee is seeking a skilled cook to join its iconic kitchen. You will prepare and execute complex menu items, lead stations during service, and uphold the restaurant's standards for quality, presentation, and timing.

This role emphasizes training and mentoring less experienced cooks, maintaining food safety, and collaborating with chefs to deliver exceptional guest experiences in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of progressive culinary experience in a high-volume setting.
• Advanced knowledge of food preparation techniques, knife skills, HACCP.
• Proven ability to lead stations independently during peak service.
• Strong communication and teamwork; mentorship of less experienced cooks.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute complex menu items while upholding standards for quality, consistency, presentation and timing.
• Lead assigned kitchen stations, coordinating production and workflow in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Monitor food quality, portion control, product usage and preparation techniques to support standards.
• Assist culinary leadership with training, coaching and mentoring less experienced cooks.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation and health regulations; maintain clean work areas.
