Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Analyst in Kansas City, MO to support grid system and OT integration engagements for electric utility clients. This early‑career role builds depth in grid operations, enterprise/OT implementations, and documentation.

You will work with Consultants and Architects on configuration, testing, and data validation across modernization programs, while collaborating with cybersecurity and engineering teams. The role offers full-time hours and a path to growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, CS, or MIS from an accredited program.
• Experience levels may substitute degree requirement.
• 2–5 years of experience preferred.
• Internship or related consulting experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge in implementation technologies and procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support technical consulting and implementation activities related to grid and OT systems.
• Assist with configuration, testing, and deployment of grid management systems (SCADA, OMS, DMS, ADMS, DERMS).
• Support advanced distribution applications including power flow, state estimation, FLISR, VVO, and DER integration.
• Perform data validation and basic analysis to support accuracy and reliability.
• Contribute to system testing and commissioning under guidance of senior team members.
• Develop and maintain project and technical documentation.
