Job summary

Ford Motor Company seeks a Sales Manager for Ford Energy’s grid-scale and commercial BESS business. You will lead strategic pipeline development, drive MSAs, and coordinate cross-functional teams to win large contracts with utilities, IPPs, and data centers.

You will engage senior leadership, articulate technical and financial value, and influence product roadmaps while traveling domestically to key sites and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field required.
• 5 years of professional experience; 2+ years in technical sales, commercial account management, or business development in BESS/renewables/grid sectors.
• Experience supporting sales of highly technical, capital-intensive products or complex industrial solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead development & strategic pipeline leadership.
• Originate deals by identifying, qualifying, and capturing opportunities in data center, utilities and IPPs.
• Manage designated accounts and position Ford Energy as a leading domestic BESS provider.
• Analyze market trends, regulatory shifts, and competitor positioning to refine GTM strategies.
• Engage customers through high-impact workshops, site visits, and product pitches.
• Build relationships with technical decision-makers and project managers.
• Communicate customer requirements to product teams.
