Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a Sales Manager for Ford Energy to drive the growth of grid-scale and commercial BESS opportunities. You will manage the sales pipeline, lead development, and coordinate technical and commercial proposals, engaging with utilities, data centers, and IPPs.

Based in the Southeast Michigan area with up to 50% travel, you will work with senior leadership to secure MSAs and shape the grid of the future.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field.
5 years of professional experience, with 2+ years in technical sales or related roles.
Experience selling technical, capital-intensive products or industrial solutions.
Ability to learn and articulate BESS technology and grid dynamics.
Strong business etiquette and financial judgment for multi-million-dollar negotiations.

Responsibilities

Lead development and pipeline leadership for Ford Energy opportunities.
Develop and qualify deals with utilities, data centers, and IPPs.
Manage key accounts and position Ford Energy competitively.
Coordinate technical and commercial proposals and bids.
Collaborate with PMO, Engineering, Finance, Legal, and Manufacturing to submit winning bids.
Translate customer requirements into product roadmap features.
