Job summary

1898 & Co., a division of Burns & McDonnell, seeks a Grid Systems - Senior Solution Architect to modernize utility grid operations for electric clients. You will guide enterprise- level architecture, roadmaps, and program delivery across SCADA, EMS, OMS, DMS, ADMS, and DERMS with a focus on grid modernization missions.

You will lead design and deployment activities, manage budgets and schedules, and collaborate with executives to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, computer science, information technology, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of experience providing enterprise or operations architecture strategies, enterprise or operations integration solutions, and services leveraging various applications and technical platforms.
• Experience with electric utility clients in implementing and integrating operational systems such as OMS, DMS, ADMS, AMI, Distribution Automation, and DER is preferred.
• Excellent enterprise architecture and integration skills, including data architecture, cloud architecture, middleware, and communications.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, develop and implement SCADA, EMS, OMS, DMS, ADMS, and DERMS solutions for complex business requirements.
• Lead commissioning, testing and deployment of SCADA, EMS, OMS, DMS, ADMS, DERMS.
• Provide field support, troubleshooting, and project coordination for grid modernization programs.
