HITACHI ENERGY USA INC is seeking a Protection & Automation Sales Leader to drive growth across the U.S. East region.

This role blends technical sales with strategic account development, focusing on protection, automation, communication, and substation automation solutions for utilities and industrial customers. You will partner with sales teams, account managers, and engineers to translate complex grid technologies into customer value, build strong relationships, and advance Hitachi Energy’s

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
MBA, MSEE, or equivalent advanced education preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of experience within the power systems industry.
Experience selling protection and control solutions, ideally within utility markets.
Knowledge of substation automation, protection relays, SCADA, RTUs, and utility communication systems.
Strong communication, relationship-building, and business development skills.
Ability to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

Drive pre-sales activities to achieve and exceed business growth targets.
Identify, develop, and support the closing of strategic sales opportunities.
Promote substation automation, distribution automation, and communication solutions.
Deliver compelling technical presentations to executive, operational, and engineering audiences.
Build trusted relationships with utility customers and key industry stakeholders.
Collaborate across functions to support major customer initiatives and pursuits.
Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and growth opportunities.
Support product evaluations, approvals, and customer adoption programs.
