Job summary

Eversource Energy in Kentucky seeks a Grid Ops Technology engineer to support modernization of the electric distribution system. You will work with cross-functional teams across three states, focusing on DMS functions like AFR and LVM, and DER/Storage integration.

Qualifications

BS in Engineering or Engineering Technology required.
Minimum 5 years in electrical utility engineering.
Experience with DMS/OMS/SCADA/EMS and data analysis.

Responsibilities

Optimize distribution using AFR, LVM, outage study, and DER/Load forecasting.
Serve as SME in ADMS, SCADA, and energy storage systems.
Collaborate with operations, IT, and engineering for DMS enhancements.
Specify and configure advanced DMS applications (FLISR, LVM, AFR).
Prepare project documentation with scope, costs, risks, and schedules.
Evaluate new technologies and determine relevance to grid ops.
Develop data tools to design/verify engineering models and databases.
Coordinate across multiple states with cross-functional teams.
Communicate grid modernization initiatives externally when appropriate.
