Job summary

Eversource Energy is seeking a Grid Ops Technology engineer to optimize the distribution system using advanced DMS/ADMS capabilities. You will engage with control centers, IT, and engineering to ensure reliable service and modernize grid operations.

The role requires a BS in engineering, 5+ years in the utility sector, and strong data/modeling skills. Travel and multi-state coordination are expected as part of integrating grid modernization initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Engineering Technology required.
Minimum of five (5) years in the electrical utility industry; supervisory experience preferred.
Strong understanding of electrical engineering concepts and data manipulation.

Responsibilities

Optimize distribution system using AFR, LVM, Planned Outage Study, DER/Load Forecasting.
Serve as SME in ADMS/SCADA, DER dispatching, energy storage, microgrids, VVO.
Collaborate with control centers, IT, and engineering for DMS enhancements.
Specify and configure DMS applications like FLISR, LVM, AFR, and scheduling.
Develop project documentation: need statement, scope, tech solution, risks, budget, schedule.
Investigate new technologies and assess relevance to grid operations.
