Job summary

Georgia Power, a Southern Company subsidiary, seeks a Grid Coordinator to oversee overhead/underground construction and storm response. You will coordinate contract crews, ensure safety excellence, manage budgets, schedules and reliability for Grid projects across a large region.

The role requires seven years of distribution experience, strong communication with internal/external stakeholders, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks while adhering to contracts and company standards.

Qualifications

• Extensive Distribution engineering and/or construction experience required: maintenance, overhead, and underground construction knowledge.
• Seven Years Distribution Experience.
• Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel), Distribution Viewer, Fulcrum, ARMS, TCMS and JETS preferred.
• Ability to analyze drawings, blueprints, specifications, proposals, and project documentation.
• Demonstrated Safety Excellence.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating contract resources to ensure Grid Investment Program safety, budget, productivity, schedules, and reliability goals.
• Responsible for circuit strategy, pre-construction meetings, quality control, and final walkdowns.
• Communicate with Engineering, customers, Stakeholder Engagement, Forestry, Land Acquisition, Claims, etc.
• Alternate work schedule and coordination with Region Partners to maintain reliability during Grid projects.
