Job summary

Georgia Power is seeking a Strategic Project Portfolio Construction Coordinator to manage overhead and underground utility construction across a wide region. The role reports to the SPP Distribution Construction Supervisor and focuses on coordinating resources, safety, budget, schedules, and reliability goals.

You will work with Engineering, customers, and regional partners, lead pre-construction activities, review drawings and documents, and standardize communication.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent.
• Seven years of Distribution Experience.
• Proficient in computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel), Distview, ARMS, CSS, TCMS, and JETS.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating contract resources to ensure safety, budget, productivity, schedules, customer satisfaction and reliability goals.
• Overseeing circuit strategy, pre-construction meetings, quality control, and final walkdowns of assigned projects.
• Communicating with Engineering, customers, Stakeholder Engagement, Forestry, Land Acquisition, Claims, and other groups.
• Will require an alternate work schedule and collaboration with Region Partners to maintain a reliable system during construction.
