Job summary

Greenway Mazda in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead our service department and ensure exceptional customer service. You will oversee technicians, service advisors, and day-to-day operations to drive efficiency, quality repairs, and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has dealer-level management experience, strong communication skills, and a proven ability to train staff, manage inventory, and uphold safety and environmental standards in a full‑time role.

Qualifications

• Two years of dealer-level or large facility manager experience preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Customer-focused with a track record of mentoring staff.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Ensure that customers receive prompt, courteous, and effective service.
• Take ownership of the customer's experience by listening to their needs and assisting in addressing their issues.
• Spend quality time building relationships with the customer.
• Serve as a liaison between technicians, service advisors, and customers.
• Oversee the inspection of automobiles to identify faulty components and facilitate a process for repairs.
• Stay updated on parts inventory to ensure availability for required repairs.
• Know the product and be able to answer characteristic and operational questions regarding the customer’s vehicle.
• Hire, train and evaluate the productivity of the service department staff to acknowledge efficient employees and guide those who are under-performing.
• Supervise the activities of the department staff to ensure efficient job performance and compliance with environmental laws and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Two years of dealer-level or large facility manager experience preferred.
• Broad scope of automotive mechanical knowledge.
• Experience in supervising and managing staff.
• Neat, clean, and professional appearance.
• Pleasant/friendly demeanor and an outgoing personality.
• Highly professional and dependable.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to interact professionally with customers, vendors, and staff.
• Basic computer and internet skills.
• Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record.
• Able to drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles.
